    • Largest gathering of Scouts in the United States
    • Activities include: climbing, mountain biking, BMX, skate park, water sports, swimming, STEM, patch trading, merit badges, conservation, shooting sports, living history, zip lines, radio station, TV station, arena shows, basecamp bashes, hometown celebrations, military exhibits and demonstrations, equipment vendors, whitewater rafting, and much more!
  • Who?
    • Scouts who are 12 before the start of the event and are still 20 on July 22nd
    • Adult leaders 21+
    • Golden Spread, South Plains, Northwest Texas Councils
  • How do I sign up?
    • Registration information will be posted soon once the budget is finalized.
    • Check back for the deposit information, payment schedule, contingent refund policies, and other important information.
  • Attendance Options
    • Jamboree Participant
    • Jamboree Service Team (JST)
  • Jamboree Contingent and Units
    • Each council forms a jamboree contingent made up of one or more units
    • The 3 types of units are… Male Troop / Female Troop / Venture Crew
    • Units are groups of 20 (18 youth / 2 adults) or 40 (36 youth / 4 adults)
  • How do I sign up?
    • Participant: Pay your deposit (amount TBD) at the Golden Spread Council office
    • JST: Register through the national office
  • When do I need to sign up?
    • Before fall of 2025 (exact date TBD)
  • How often does Jamboree happen?
    • Typically, every 4 years
    • Most Scouts only get one chance to attend as a youth participant
  • How do we get there?
    • We will likely charter a bus again
  • Will there be any tours before/after the event?
    • Considering a 3-day Washington DC tour (would add approximately $1000 per participant)
  • How much will it cost?
    • Our cost estimate is $3000 per participant
    • The budget, participant cost, and payment schedule will be finalized after determining if the pre-event DC tour is happening
  • What does the cost include?
    • Jamboree attendance fee
    • Transportation to/from the event
    • Food while traveling
    • Shakedown campout
    • Unit supplies (tents, office supplies, first aid kit, etc.)
    • Jamboree contingent gear
      • 1 Hat
      • 1 Neckerchief and slide
      • 2 Class B shirts
      • 1 Duffel bag
      • 1 Daypack
      • 1 Name tag
      • 2 Baggage tags
      • 1 Unit numeral, world crest ring, patrol patch, leadership position patches, council strip set
      • 2 patch sets to keep
      • 2 patch sets to trade
      • Additional trading patches, shirts, and troop gear will be available for purchase
