Join Scouts and Scouters of the Golden Spread, South Plains, Buffalo Trail, and Northwest Texas Councils as part of the official Jamboree Contingent Troops and experience Scouting’s largest national event – The National Scout Jamboree

What?
- Largest gathering of Scouts in the United States
- It’s NOT summer camp.
- National Jamboree is 360-degrees of fun, friends and fellowship with hands-on adventures that take you places you never thought you’d go and challenge you to try things you never thought you would.
- The LARGEST U.S. Scouting event – 20,000 people are expected!
- Activities include: climbing, mountain biking, BMX, skate park, water sports, swimming, STEM, patch trading, merit badges, conservation, shooting sports, living history, zip lines, radio station, TV station, arena shows, basecamp bashes, hometown celebrations, military exhibits and demonstrations, equipment vendors, whitewater rafting, and much more!
Itinerary
- April 24-26, 2026 – Shakedown campout for the contingent @ CDH
- July 17, 2026 – Depart Camp Don (Amarillo)
- July 18 – Arrive Washington DC
- July 19-21 – Tour Washington DC
- July 22-31 – National Jamboree Summit Bechtel Reserve West Virginia
- July 31 – Depart Summit
- August 1 – Arrive Camp Don (Amarillo)
Who?
- Scouts who are 12 before the start of the event and are still 20 on July 22nd
- Adult leaders 21+
- Golden Spread, South Plains, Buffalo Trail, and Northwest Texas Councils

- Jamboree Participant
- Jamboree Service Team (JST)
Jamboree Contingent and Units
- Each council forms a jamboree contingent made up of one or more units
- The 3 types of units are… Male Troop / Female Troop / Coed Venture Crew
- Units are groups of 20 (18 youth / 2 adults)
How do I sign up?
- Participant: Pay your deposit (amount TBD) at the Golden Spread Council office
- JST: Register through the national office
How do I sign up?
- Participant: Click the registration button at the top of the page, fill out all information, pay your deposit, and invite all your friends.
- JST: Register on the national jamboree website (https://jamboree.scouting.org/)
How often does Jamboree happen?
- Typically, every 4 years
- Most Scouts only get one chance to attend as a youth participant
How much will it cost?
- $4100 per participant
What does the cost include?
- Jamboree attendance fee
- Transportation to/from the event – Chartered bus from Amarillo > DC > Jamboree > Amarillo
- 3-day chartered tour of DC to celebrate the 250th Celebration of the American Revolution
- Meals while traveling
- Shakedown campout (April 24-26, 2026)
- Unit supplies (tents, office supplies, first aid kit, etc.)
- Jamboree contingent gear: patches, shirts, duffle bag, day pack
