The Golden Spread Council would like to provide you with an update following the Amarillo City Council’s decision to extend the Shelter-in-Place order through April 30th.
The Harrington Scout Service Center and all camp properties are closed to the public through at least April 30th, 2020. We will continue to share updates through email, our Facebook Page and website.
Our professional staff is actively working and available to help you with your Scouting needs. Email is the recommended form of communication, contact information for your district team is available in our Council Directory. Someone is also available to assist you with your Scouting needs during regular operating hours (8:30am to 5:30pm, M-F) at (806) 358-6500.
GSC Scout Shop
This Scout Shop is closed to the public through at least April 30th. For immediate Scout Shop Needs, please contact Donna at [email protected] or at (806) 358-6500.
Summer Camp and Activities
Philmont Family Weekend has been cancelled for 2020, Camporee has been moved from April 24-26 to November 21-23, and we are in the process of rescheduling Cub Scout Extravaganza and Scouting for Food. Summer Camp is on as scheduled and we are still taking reservations! Contact Jake at [email protected] for details or call the Service Center during regular business hours for your camping questions and needs.
Scouting at Home
There are still many opportunities to continue Scouting activities from home during this time. We will work to continue to provide new Scouting at Home Resources along with all COVID-19 Updates on the home page of our website at www.goldenspread.org. We encourage all unit leaders and parents to review the resources shared on our website to help provide Scouting activities that can be implemented at home.
We will be sending our next GSC/COVID-19 update at the end of April, we appreciate your understanding of any necessary adjustments in the interest of health and safety.
