The North American Hockey League (NAHL) has suspended all games indefinitely until further notice in response to the COVID-19 outbreak.

It’s time to start preparing for the annual Scouting for Food event, which will be held on March 28, 2020 this year!

Food insecurity is an issue for families all throughout the Texas Panhandle and our teamwork can make a big difference! Last year the Golden Spread Council collected and donated nearly 7,000 pounds of food to the High Plains Food Bank who then distributed it to our neighbors in need! Let’s break the 7,000 pound mark this year!

Due to the COVID-19 issue, this year we will be doing the Program Kickoff via ZOOM.  In order to get the invitation to join the meeting, you are asked to register below by May 5 , 10pm and on May 6, you will receive the joining information from Scott Kilian’s email address so please watch for that.

Join Erica Maddox, the Lone Wolf District Executive, as she shows Cub Scout and Scouts BSA Leaders how to best utilize Scoutbook for your unit and/or Scout via Zoom.

Your registration will get you a virtual spot in 3 different classes, with each one getting more in depth in the use of Scoutbook. You can attend one, two, or all three, it’s up to you! The classes are as follows:

June 15 – 7:15pm-8:45pm

June 16 – 7:15pm-8:45pm

June 18 – 7:15pm-8:45pm

Once you register, you will receive a Zoom invitation link the day before! Please note, this single registration qualifies you for ALL THREE CLASSES!

Come earn the Rifle OR Shotgun OR Archery Merit Badge, have a FREE shoot at the range of your choice in the evening, and get to camp in the outdoors at Camp MK Brown.

Come earn (or at least partially finish) 5 DIFFERENT Merit Badges.  Yes, a different badge each day.  You can register for one, two, three, four, or ALL 5!

Join us for our first ever Scouts BSA Polaris Camp 2020!  This camp was developed as part of our  summer program since Scouts BSA Summer Camp was cancelled due to COVID-19.

Come to Camp MK Brown and work  on Scout through 1st Class rank requirements and get your campout in too.  This program has been one of the highlights of our Summer Camping programs and is for the 1st year camper.  Scouts will also get to have free swim in the lake and shoot BB and Archery in the evenings as some fun times.

We are excited to bring the Webelos Resident Camp back! This time, it will be held at the beautiful Camp MK Brown! Many of the Cub Scouts have not had the opportunity to see this great camp! Save this date and come enjoy the lake, shooting ranges, new hiking trails, and more!

Scouts BSA, join us for this special one day class where you will work on the Art and Sculpture Merit Badges.  This will take place in the Scout Service Center Conference Room.

This class is limited to 20 Scouts and we will social distance in the conference room.  Masks are highly encouraged in the room but MUST be worn when leaving the room for any reason.  Please bring your own mask!

Lunch must be brought along with drink- water is available.  You may also consider bringing an afternoon snack.

All other class supplies will be provided.

Deadline to register is this FRIDAY, Aug 14 at 11am

Scouts BSA, join us for this special one day class where you will earn Fingerprinting AND Crime Prevention Merit Badges taught by an APD Officer and Assistant Scoutmaster.  This will take place in the Scout Service Center Conference Room.

This event will give your Cub Scout a chance to earn the BB, Archery, and Slingshot Awards!  This is the second year we have offered this event! Don’t miss out on a fun day of shooting!

Each Scout/Family will only register for ONE session, the morning or the afternoon session! This is a half-day event for participants. Breakfast and lunch will NOT be provided!

Come celebrate the 75th Anniversary of Camp Don Harrington!  On December 25, 1945, Don and Sybil Harrington gave the council this beautiful gift and to celebrate that, we will have a grand event that will include Cub Scouts, Scouts BSA, Order of the Arrow, and many other memorable and fellowship opportunities.

Registration for the 2020 Order of the Arrow Summer Ordeal is now open!

Ordeal Candidate Check-in Friday evening 7 PM August 28^th in the parking lot . Vehicle occupant(s) temperature checks, Completed Medical forms Part A and B, COVID-19 Release Form to be presented before check-in. The program ends on Sunday morning after breakfast, church service, and camp clean-up is completed – approximately 10:30 AM

Due to the COVID-19 attendance limitations, only Ordeal Inductions will be taking place during this Lodge Activity.

This class is open to anyone who is 15 years of age and older.  This basic class is NOT the CPR for Healthcare Providers which is required for BSA Lifeguard candidates.

This course is designed for those who want/need advanced First Aid, specifically if you are going to a High Adventure Base in 2021.  You must have basic CPR/AED training completed (we are offering that class on September 10) before you can be certified as completed the course.

This is the last course of the year with the next one tentatively scheduled from May 2021.

This camp out is designed for our Cub Scouts and their families just recruited into Scouts and we also invite existing Cub Scouts and their families- FUN FOR ALL!!!!

We are offering this camp at both Camp Don Harrington AND Camp MK Brown so you can got to either one.

We will be shooting BB Guns, Archery Bows and Arrows, Slingshots, Fishing and playing in the Obstacle Course and GaGa Pit plus lots more.  We will also have a closing campfire!

This is for Cub Scouts and their families and you can come without your entire pack!

Dinner is provided on Saturday night and Breakfast on Sunday morning.
