Our 2020 Camp Card Ordering is now in full swing! Please visit the Leader’s Guide for how the program works, timelines, deadlines, and lots of other important information. You can order online OR contact your local District Executive who can take the order and this must be done by close of business February 13, 2020. If you want to know what you ordered and sold in 2019, you must call your Executive who will share that information.
This fundraiser should be managed by ONE person in your unit so they can be the primarily point of contact between the member’s of the unit and the council.

The Lodge Executive committee is hosting an OA Fun Day at St. Thomas The Apostle Church in Amarillo, Saturday, February 8, from 3PM – 4PM for all arrowmen interested in knowing more about ceremonies and how they can become a member of a ceremony team. Please join us to see how you can benefit our lodge! Dinner will follow at Mr. Gatti’s Pizza.

New this year: Texas Hunter’s Education!! Scouts wanting to take Texas Hunter’s Education must pay an additional $15.00 fee and may NOT register for any merit badges. This is an ALL DAY COURSE!
Please see the Leader’s Guide below for more details. It is important that all units read the Leader’s Guide carefully before attending. To keep costs for OKPIK Winter Adventure as low as possible, we are asking that each unit contribute food to be cooked for each meal. Please bring enough of the listed materials to feed everyone in your unit, plus two! The food will be turned in to the kitchen during check-in!

Scoutmaster Position Specific Training, Introduction to Outdoor Leadership Skills Training (ILST), Cub Scout Adventure Academy, and BALOO all in the same place, on the same weekend!
In an effort to reduce the number of weekends that our leaders and volunteers must commit throughout the year, we have consolidated these training classes into one weekend!
Please note that in order to receive full credit for this training, an overnight stay is required by BSA standards! Please pay attention to the weather forecast and plan accordingly.
Check-in and camp setup will begin at 2:00pm on Saturday and you will leave around 10:30am on Sunday. Dinner and breakfast will be provided!
It’s time to start preparing for the annual Scouting for Food event, which will be held on March 28, 2020 this year!
Food insecurity is an issue for families all throughout the Texas Panhandle and our teamwork can make a big difference! Last year the Golden Spread Council collected and donated nearly 7,000 pounds of food to the High Plains Food Bank who then distributed it to our neighbors in need! Let’s break the 7,000 pound mark this year!
